OUR VALUE PROPOSITION

youth@WORK is a 100% woman owned, Level 1 B-BBEE, Non-Profit Organisation (NPC) focused on youth employment now and in the future. Since 2018 we work closely with corporates to achieve their B-BBEE, SDG or ESG targets by hosting youth on the Youth Employment Program (YES). Together we provide youth with a supported meaningful year of work, creating opportunities for sustained employment beyond the program.

The YES program allows for versatility in many ways such as the type of jobs youth perform, the sectors they work in, and the qualifications youth hold when they enter and leave the YES program. youth@WORK's specialisation as an organisation is to manage this versatility at scale, whilst ensuring that every youth receives a quality work experience year.

Our business model is to utilise spend for youth placements in automotive, manufacturing, education, IT and the green economy. We place youth into host sites both in urban as well as rural settings nationally. We work with over 1300 small businesses who provide the daily supervision to eager participants. These relationships harnesses the power of collaboration to develop skills, knowledge, experience and opportunities for South African youth to remain meaningfully employed beyond the program.

We have seen the reciprocal value of assigning passionate, semi-skilled, resourceful, South African youth into schools or businesses.
